May 31st - June 6th: What is your favorite series that you've finished all the books (more than 3 books) to?
I have to be honest, I'll start a series and never finish them. I'll read them and then some where along the way, Ill lose interest in them. The two biggest reasons is one the author changed her style of writing from the first books I've read and two I've lost interest in the stories. There's only author where I read all of the books in two of her series to date, Larissa Ione.
First series that I love is her Demonica Series. Its not the normal books about vampires and shifters, its about demons an other creatures. Its main setting is at the Underworld Hospital. I've loved each of the characters and how they interact with each other.
The second series I've read from her is Lords of Deliverance which is her take on the four horseman. Both series are tied together which I loved. I found myself cheering the horseman on in hopes of the curses not breaking.
Yeah, that's a big reason why I stop reading books in series. Another is that I have way too many books that I need to read.

I liked MOST of the Demonica books ... somewhere at the end they lost me. Great post Jen! <3
ReplyDeleteNew follower here! I've got to admit I've never read either of these series, but their covers brought to mind the Laurell K. Hamilton Anita Blake series that I read quite a few up until I gave up. The point when you couldn't even remember that Anita had once been a Necromancer was when I had to stop.

I heard those were good, but haven't read them yet
DeleteI feel your reasons, but I usually try to stick out the series. Especially if I was invested in the first part of the series. Prime examples of this include the Anita Blake series and the Sookie Stackhouse series.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe that I have never read Larissa Ione? I have seen the books and even scanned the blurbs a couple of times. I just haven't worked up the nerve to try them. Of course, I did the same thing with Nalini Singh's Psy-Changling series and then completely fell in love. Maybe one day I will sit down and read all of them at once. One day....
I've heard also Psy-Changling series and heard they were good as well might have to find time to read them
